See an orthopedic in a hospital DON"T go to a podiatrist in a clinic. Don't go alone to consultations and if the doctor does not tell you about the contraindications, risks, and pain. See someone else.

... Alright, you're a few weeks out now. How do the two surgeries compare so far? I need to have my bunion/hammer toes repaired and it's overwhelming with the length of time suggested with the traditional surgery that I would need to be off of my feet. I just don't feel I have the luxury at this time of my life, yet I need the repair. I am very anxious to hear your thoughts.
