My DS12 has had orthotics since he was 4 and is at the point where he is in constant pain, has quit all sports, lives on pain meds, and blisters badly when he is active for a few days. His current ortho told us this is the best he will ever be, and does not recommend surgery. This is the second ortho who we've dealt with.... (12 replies)

... Hi Lennon and Steve, I had my surgery almost 7 months ago so I way ahead of you guys :). I did not have the tarsus implant but rather a bone wedge put in my lateral heel with a plate and screws and an accessory navicular removed from the medial side of foot, and the gastroc cutting.
