... I think the balancing in yoga is a bit of trial and error. We are supposed to make sure our weight is spread on three points, the ball of the big toe, the ball of the little toe, and the heel. The toe itself is not as big a part of it, really. For me, it is as much about focus as anything! ... (21 replies)

... My shoes are the professional model, and I do know they have a heel.....it was pretty exciting when I could get my foot into them. ... Northwind, Have a close look at your Danskos. They have almost a two inch heel if you are wearing the Professional model. My doctor (male) wears them for surgery. They were the first shoes I tried to get in to. I was a bit discouraged at first until I found out they ACTUALLY HAVE a heel height. I checked the actual Dansko site and it lists the heel as two inches. They... (63 replies)

... osed. I get the stitches out on Monday, so that is when I will see the foot. I did get to look at the plate before the surgery started. I can also see that it is bent when I look at the sole of the foot. It does look like the toe will stick up when I have my foot flat.......but I haven't had the foot flat since the surgery. ... ... My podiatrist said that the bunion was corrected, but you wouldn't know by looking at my foot! He said that the straightness of the toe is not the biggest concern.....and gave me a spacer for comfort. I want a permanent solution, though! I feel so shallow for wanting a better looking foot! ... Bunion n surgery?
Jan 18, 2004
... I think their key measures in deciding whether to recommend surgery are pain and the degree of malformation of the toe bones, which happens with feet that have bunions over time. I'm sorry to say, the condition does NOT improve on its own. ... (3 replies)
