I did borrow a walker which helped me learn to navigate with the air cast on with an ice pack on top of it for the first couple of days. ... The condition tends to get worse. Just before the surgery, I couldn't take any walks. Even a 10 min. walk was a problem. Also, once you are no longer flexible, the surgery becomes even more involved then it already is. There is all kinds of information on the internet about PTTD surgery.

my surgeon said not to take anti-inflammatories for 9 months post surgery as it can interfere with bone healing. I am 6 months post surgery and have no pain. I am most comfortable in shoes, not barefoot, too. It seems weird that you are having tingling sensations and bruising. That does not sound right...
