... Wow, yours was definitely more intense than mine. I had a distal chevron osteotomy for both my bunions (I have one on each side). I think it's one of the most common types of WB surgery done, but since I have very thin/fragile bones, I really can't put any weight on it otherwise I risk breaking the osteotomy. Ankle woes

... Am I recovered now, depends. When I had the Brostrom done, I also have a bunion corrected. While recovering, the big toe which had the bunionectomy dislocated. My Dr. attempted to correct that, but it dislocated again, so about six months later my big toe was fused. ... (21 replies)
