... If it's fused, then there would be no opportunity for spurs, chips etc as there would be no movement to cause them. It could be an infection, problem with hardware used to fuse it, etc. ... (1 replies)

... From what I have heard, all of this is pretty normal. I wouldn't be too concerned at this point. It can sometimes take bone longer to fuse. And removing hardware is something that is done every day. I'd do as he says and give it more time. ... (3 replies)
