... The bump/knot is probably caused by hallux limitus or hallux rigidus...also known as turf toe, runner's toe,tennis toe, etc. That white circle on the x-rays consists of bone spurs and chips. ... Yeah it seems like maybe the "slipping" tendon issue is a bit less frequent when the kinesio tape is applied. The pain in my other knee seems to be going away. My big toe issue appears to be similar to yours since I also had to wear the cast/boot although I dont think I have a knot. Ill be sure to post the results of my visit this coming Monday though. ... tape is working and your having less swelling which is equaling less slipping, then it could be just that although I've not heard of that. As far as pain in your big toe...I had this too. It quite possibly has to do with your gait, protecting your ankle, not being full strength, yet, etc. ... (25 replies)
