... thanks for your response! i may have mis-stated (sp?) my dr's response. it's not that he's not comfortable with the procedure..he works with many pro athletes in the area...it's that he's not comfortable doing the procedure until the pttd surgery is fully healed...which is about 1 yr to 1 1/2 years. since the foot went through so much he doesn't want to make the foot... ... Hi Fishinggirl, my surgeon said not to take anti-inflammatories for 9 months post surgery as it can interfere with bone healing. I am 6 months post surgery and have no pain. I am most comfortable in shoes, not barefoot, too. It seems weird that you are having tingling sensations and bruising. That does not sound right... I hope you have improvement soon!
