... The cortisone shots are to help reduce inflammation. They are usually mixed with a bit of lidocaine to relieve pain. When I first started getting them put into the joint itself they would last anywhere from 6 to 8 months. This was so wonderful! I could continue to walk and do things and my feet didn't hurt. ...
