... Hi there! sorry to hear about your revision. I have used a bone stimulator too for a non-displaced fracture. Sometime I worry it will make extra bone grow too much on top of the hardware. Did you saw you surgeon thought infection risk goes up with more scar tissue? or just infection risk goes up because its a revision? (3 replies)

... Run, don't walk away from this doctor and find a Foot & Ankle Board certified ortho. Pods do not have as much training as these and I think this is beyond his expertise. If you live in a city with a pro football or basketball team, find out who they use (usually on web site). ... Never NWB because you basically are in the Aircast- as you have found out it doesn't put pressure on that joint. So I walked into the house fromthe hospital. I did borrow a walker which helped me learn to navigate with the air cast on with an ice pack on top of it for the first couple of days. I've had 5 foot surgeries, gb removed, deviated septum repair, tonsils out as an adult and the fusion was the longest and worst recovery. 3 months in the Air cast boot, one in a surgical shoe, 6 weeks in an ugly pair of solid sole shoes was almost unbearable.
