I had my surgery done in Feb, am now 6 weeks post op. ... Wow, both feet! Your surgery was same day as mine. I had right bunion done along with a hammertoe next to it and stretching of ligament on back of right leg. I am doing well, but finding the immobility much harder than I thought. I find the crutches and walker hard to use because they hurt. You must have more upper body strength. Did you go back to work? ... Guess it just goes to show that whichever doc you choose can be overly cocky and arrogant. My orthopod only looked at my xrays once, and never during recovery period (post-op). I wish you luck finding someone (orthopod or pod) who you feel confident in and who takes your seriously. Trust is the key I suppose. (7 replies)

Hi, Oh wow, I have had surgery on both of my feet but one at a time and I would not have been able to take care of a 1 and 2 year old.Believe me it will take you much longer than a week before you feel up to chasing 2 little ones.I'm also sure you will need more than 3 weeks off from work.This is only my opinion and good luck with whatever you decide to do :) Sue (3 replies)
