I had my large neuroma removed from my right foot between the 2nd and 3rd toe. It was done in the office, and no big deal. Recovery was fast, well 4 weeks... and I feel great after 6 years!

My friend at work went thru those shots and THEY HURT. alcohol shots do definitely hurt. My recovery was short was able to walk on heal with a surgical shoe not cam walker,

... Oh, what kind of dr did you see? You need a cam walk fast! You need to get the pressure off it quick so you can work. Plus, take a partially filled water bottle freeze it them roll it under your foot while your at your desk or sitting.
Before you get out of bed take a towel roll it up, put at edge of toes, try to stretch that bottom of foot up toward up stretching it... (13 replies)

... yes I would go to an ortho dr. Try to wear a shoe that doesn't bend so bad on the bottom. That's why they give you those surgical shoes to wear. Do you have some Birkenstocks? Let me ask you, when you grab all your toes together and give a gentle squeeze does it hurt? Did it bother you prior to this? Could possibly be a Morton's Neuroma but not sure. It looks like you've gotten plenty of adivse on here already. I'm 7 weeks post op on my right foot, so my experience with healing is pretty recent. My doctor also advised on one at a time. ... I have used powersteps and now use superfeet, they are very similar. I also wear birkenstocks, I had to put a gel insole in them so they wouldn't hurt. My feet seem to me rather sensitive also, no shoe is really comfortable for me. I am getting a good bit of relief with "Crocs". You might want to read the thread about them on this board.
