... There are some adjustments you have to make. Squatting down to get something on the bottom shelf is difficult because you can't bend the toe. Can't do lunges, calf raises. I'm short so have to get on tiptoes to reach some things but I'm right handed and it's the right big toe. So have to remember to do it on the left side. Things like that. ... Hello, I am one year out from flatfoot surgery (1st met fusion, calc slide, etc) and it seems as though I am placing enormous pressure on the fifth metatarsal. It feels like a hard marble under my bone. The foot seems to tilt outward a bit too much. Has anyone experienced this? If so how did you handle it? It bothers me most barefoot but also in shoes. Ugh. ... I didn't have the implant but have had it fused. Really not fun but doable. Some things to think about though are whether you want to wear any heels (check your closet for shoes you may have to get rid of)..I had mine fused at a different angle so I could wear a higher heel.
