... I don't know what that list means but I have a guess. When I was in the hospital for my infection, one of the IV antibiotics I was given was vancomycin. Maybe because they know the type of infection the drs know what antibiotics will work. Sorry I am not more helpful. ... (36 replies)

... The indium scan won't tell for sure, but is a really good indicator. The best they can do scanning wise without poking you. It could be inflammation and your body fighting that. I had a three phase indium scan done. ... (36 replies)

... I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I got an infection in a toe about three months after surgery. I was fortunate that I was treated with IV for three days in the hospital, and then released. My only suggestion is stay off the infected foot as much as possible. I onoly got up to use the restroom. Good luck to you. ... (36 replies)
