... I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I got an infection in a toe about three months after surgery. I was fortunate that I was treated with IV for three days in the hospital, and then released. My only suggestion is stay off the infected foot as much as possible. I onoly got up to use the restroom. Good luck to you. ... (36 replies)

... I have a new update for this thread. I stopped the antibiotics for my infection almost three weeks ago. The ID dr said the infection was probably gone. The only way to really know for sure is to stop the antibiotics and watch for symptoms to return. So, we took out the picc line, and I felt very good about things. ... (22 replies)
