... jen, its along story. i never did get cortisone shots..just had the surgery. i will be brief, i had a bunionectomy, proceeded to get a bone infection and needed 2 additional surgeries..the 3rd surgery was to debride the bone so, since the neuroma was causing alot of pain,my doc just took it out at that time.. ... Screw removal?

... about 3 weeks ago. It was not a big deal. I was under twilight anesthesia so I don't remember anything about the actual proceedure. The doctor did the removal in the OR to be sure things were sterile. He also put me on 10 days of antibiotics as a preventative. You definitely do not want a bone infection. ... (9 replies)
