Cast versus boot

... You need to do what is best for you, but my prefernce would be boot over cast. Swelling is main reason I would go with boot over cast. You can adjust a boot to level of swelling you have that day but not a cast. If you swell too much in a cast it needs to be changed or they make slits in it to allow for more swelling. ... ... d peritendonitis and tenosynovitis as shown on my last MRI... but that was taken in 2010. So, I'm sure its worse by now. My new OS is just starting the process over for "conservative management". I'm in boot for 3 weeks but suspect he will cast it next time I go... it's not getting any better. ... (17 replies)
