... Ask for an MRI to check for a fracture of the cuboid bone. Mine did not show on xray but that's what has caused me pain on the lateral side of my foot. If MRI isn't possible I'd skip to treating and just boot it. Unless it's a displaced fracture that's what they'd do anyways. Unfortunately I do not have a glorified story of how I broke it but basically got light headed & dizzy as I was walking up a step into my home, my legs gave out and all of my weight dropped on my foot that was on the step. ... it was a car accident while driving taxi.someone ran a stop sign and i hit them on the front left.which snaped the ankle to the left which cliped the 4th and 5th metatarsal as the ankle and foot bent left.they did surgury for the tibia and ligiments they set the fibula and the two broken foot bones without hardwhare. ... ... I fell yesterday, rolled on my ankle. Thought it was a sprain, but by the evening I could barely stand on it. Had a boot from when I broke my 5th and 4th metatarsal 6 years before, so I put that on my right foot to immobilize it and get some sleep. Also took a Tylenol 4 which helped alot. ... (1 replies)
