Hi Jumper, thanks for your reply, I was told to start weight bearing from 6 weeks, which I thought was a bit soon but OS said he likes his patients to start early so have been trying steadily since then around the house,I had a hospital app yesterday and have been told to try to loose the crutches now with no restrictions on getting around , He said I may need fusion some time... ... Are you getting PT? That's where you should start as they can look at how you are walking and help correct whatever misalignment/gait issue you are having that is causing your pain. You probably have various weaknesses that are contributing and PT can help strengthen them as well as help you develop a more normal gait pattern. (1 replies)
