... Ask for an MRI to check for a fracture of the cuboid bone. Mine did not show on xray but that's what has caused me pain on the lateral side of my foot. If MRI isn't possible I'd skip to treating and just boot it. Unless it's a displaced fracture that's what they'd do anyways.
