... ps. The caps are separated from the shaft by a thin layer of cartilage. This layer of cartilage is where the bone grows in length. When you say you broke your growth plate, it could mean that you have a fracture of the shaft, a fracture of the cap, or just that you separated the cap from the shaft. ... (3 replies)

Cast problems

... Hi there! sorry to hear about your revision. I have used a bone stimulator too for a non-displaced fracture. Sometime I worry it will make extra bone grow too much on top of the hardware. Did you saw you surgeon thought infection risk goes up with more scar tissue? or just infection risk goes up because its a revision? (3 replies)
