Hi Lurchy, Thanks for responding - no, I had no idea about the valium, etc. The PA hasn't been very helpful to say the least and I haven't seen the doctor since the surgery...and workers comp is giving me hell...hopefully they will approve the valium, as I'm so tired of the jerking and twitching and the pain - thanks for the response! ... Nice to hear from you, and great to hear you're doing well. You'll be surprised how quickly the time passes even with the boredom. Think of the time and stress that built up to this surgery - at least for me it had been years. I'm 7 weeks post op on Wednesday and I'm amazed how well its gone. Hang in there. ... I had the same surgery to the same ankle on 5/8/13. My left ankle is also unstable. I am using a walker and that seems to work better for me than the crutches - more stable. I have a knee walker, but we have a small tri level house and the knee walker is impractacle here.
