I've been having neuropathic pain (burning sensation/hypersensitivity) on the outside of my foot after having ankle surgery on my peroneal tendons in october (repair/debridement/subluxation correction/and brostrum). The kidney surgery was the worst, pain wise!!! But it was a faster recovery then the ankle for sure!!!
I'm going to call today and see if I can get in sooner to the doctor, ortho guy. I'm not diabetic, and i did have normal sensation after the brostrum. I didn't have a nerve block with this one and I don't know why.
