... I'm day 15 after 2 (talus, back ankle) bone spur and cartilage graft. It's little different than your surgery but i'll give you some advice what to get. How much do you weigh? If you are under <150lb that knee scooter setup will work. I have the same, but I'm 6'2" 240, and it's not enough cushion for long period usage. I got a knee wrap (it comes apart so you dont have... I plan to have a quick call with him prior to surgery to catch what i missed. I'm going to stay optimistic and do what my doc says so I can heal as my body needs - toes to nose! :) (5 replies)

... I am so happy that I was able to make you feel better and give you peace of mind. You are correct that your foot is more protected in a cast than I was in a splint. I was happy to have the splint and no cast as it did allow for swelling more. ... (4 replies)

... I found that if I accepted that it was going to feel bad when I first sat up and the blood rushed into my foot and I sat there and let that happen and waited a minute before I got up it really helped the discomfort from that sensation. It kind of let it get it all over before I was up. I was on bedrest for 6 weeks with it elevated over my heart and by the end of that the... (10 replies)
... I didn't have bunion surgery but had a brostrum/peroneal/cover repair and for whatever reason it was almost a month for me post op before I could put my bare foot on the ground.
