... Wow, yours was definitely more intense than mine. I had a distal chevron osteotomy for both my bunions (I have one on each side). I think it's one of the most common types of WB surgery done, but since I have very thin/fragile bones, I really can't put any weight on it otherwise I risk breaking the osteotomy. ... want to be in flats or low heels, and you will definitely want to stay away from pointy toes or tight shoes that might aggravate your foot and possibly cause the bunion to come back.
