... Hi there, After reading this board, I realized the importance of a second opinion, and think everyone should have one just to get a second doctors view. Both the doctors I saw did indicate surgery – but one indicated a lower base repair (cast for 6 weeks) verses a higher metatarsal repair with a “walking cast/boot”. I am choosing the higher one.
