I had a Wilsons Osteotomy, bone cut staright accross and screw put in at an angle to hold both part of bone together, screw will stay in permanently but I have one that is protruding and surgeon said that if it bothers me when I am wearing an ordinary shoe that he will remove it at one of his clinics.
