... You only need the screws while the bones fuse or whatever it is they need to do. If they never bother you, it's not necessary to take them out. However, if they do move-- as in start coming unscrewed-- then they can be taken out and do not need to be replaced. (2 replies)

... told her to minimize her walking for a few days while the holes in the bones healed up but there was little pain involved.. certainly a cake walk compared to the bunion surgery! I've been lucky that mine have done ok.. I have 2 screws. ... (3 replies)
