... Karen, congrats on your fast and painless recovery. It will be my 4 week next wednesday. I am still non weight bearing and wearing the surgical shoes whenever I move around. So it depends on what your surgeon told you as to the timeline of your progress and when you should be weight bearing. I think it is best to call your surgeon to make sure you are not doing it... ... Wow, yours was definitely more intense than mine. I had a distal chevron osteotomy for both my bunions (I have one on each side). I think it's one of the most common types of WB surgery done, but since I have very thin/fragile bones, I really can't put any weight on it otherwise I risk breaking the osteotomy.
