... so that helped me alot. I had bunions removed on both feet at the same time in January, so crutches only helped me keep my balance. I couldn't really use them to help me get around. ... I'm not sure if your question is for me or kasey10, but I'll answer. I was off of my feet for several days and then started hobbling around keeping surgical sandals on at all times. I was into tennis shoes at week 4 and could've gone back to work then for at least a few hours anyway (though I don't work). The key for me was ice and constant elevation. (3 replies)

... I agree with Titchou, but I can tell you my experiences based on two bunion surgeries. I had a boot that I wore for just a short time, maybe a week or two, and then a surgical shoe for about a month if I recall correctly. ... (4 replies)
