... Two pins held it in place. The pins were not pushed through and this left both sharp ends inside the foot. Both were sitting on nerves. I had no pain from the surgery EXCEPT this horrific nerve pain. I demanded that the first pin be removed as soon as possible. It was taken out in a week...quite excrutiatingly I might add. ...
