... Just coming back to this thread to follow up :). I'm 10 weeks post-op at the moment. I had two metal rods on the inside of my foot that were sticking out, in order to hold the big toe in place. One metal rod was removed two weeks ago and the last metal rod (very thick) pulled and unscrewed three days ago. I am now back in regular tennis shoes, awaiting the creation of my foot...
