(Then going home and staying off your feet for most of two weeks, after which gradually getting getting back to extensive walking and standing.) ... and then graduated down to another boot that was more comfortable walking in. Just be patient..that is really the key as it is a long recovery until you are not constantly focusing on your foot and how you walk, sit, lie down, etc. Do what the doc orders..elevation of your leg is very, very critical... ... ... Sounds odd to me, unless you are in an anti-gravity atmosphere :-). Double check, but ice and elevation is the gold standard protocol for feet/ankle surgery. Good luck with your recovery! (7 replies)
