He has not recommended surgery at this point. He did put her in a boot though, for 4 weeks. I have never heard of a boot BEFORE the surgery, just after.

I'm 2nd week now & the time has draggggged, even tho I have books, mags, laptop, & various hand projects @ my elbow.
