... It can never hurt to get a second opinion. I just had a bunionectomy, tendon transfer, partial sesmoidectomy and joint implant on 10/23. Another doctor had told me I needed to have fusion a few years back and I said no way, because the recovery sounded horrible and I'd never be able to bend the toe joint. ... HI Sorry you are in so much pain. I too was a dancer, but had to quit at 24 from my accessory navicular being too painful. had surgery last year and despite a rocky recovery, am doing better. ... Hello I had surgery to remove a bunion on my left foot 12 days ago. I still have pain but that's not the problem. There seems to be some sort of hard layer under the bandage on my big toe, what ever it is , is taking the skin off my toe and digging in badly it's hurts and stings badly. I was told to keep the bandage on and not remove it but the pain on my toe is bad.... (1 replies)
