... I had flat foot reconstruction a few years ago, and the recovery is a long and tough road. For me, the pain was quite tolerable, but I was surprised when I transitioned from cast to boot (and weightbearing), some pain returned (makes sense, just wasn't expecting it). ... s med ortho and they are typically more agressive with recovery than pods. Whether you can driive is not dependent on the crutches but rather what type, if any, boot you are in as it is illegal in many places to drive with one.
