... My foot turned red and purple for awhile, even after I started bearing weight. Once I began walking more it eventually went away (maybe around 4-5 months, don't remember exactly). ... I think recovery time partly depends on your age. I've noticed on these boards that the younger ones seem to recover a lot more quickly and fully. Some of us older ones, not so much. :) Takes us a little longer to get back to normal. I started with the stationary bike maybe around 12 weeks I think, and it really helped with the stiffness in my foot. (5 replies)
