... "Osteotomy" just means cut. There are many ways to cut a bone and many different bones to cut. What do you mean when you said you had a "bone angle cut"? The metatarsal osteotomy, called a Youngswick's modification of an Austin bunionectomy, creates a BREAK in the bone that can either shorten or plantarflex the head of the metatarsal.
