... Yeah, the bandaging is to protect the wound. My Dr was very concerned that I not get the toe with the pin wet since that was an open wound. Once those pins were out they weren't concerned about the bandaging. In fact toward week 5 I just took the bandaging off and didn't even pretend that I hadn't removed it.
