... Joanals - When I swim, it's at my apartment pool and I can just slide my sneaker off and hope in through the stairs. Although I'm cleared to walk barefoot now (sometimes, although it feels really uncomfortable). ... Swimming is by far the best and feels the best for my foot at least. I've been able to do the stationary bike and eliptical and swim without much trouble. I hear ya about the gym Joanals, it's so hot and humid in NC that's about all I can do though in the AC! ... Doctor said today that all looks great. Austin, yes, and hammer toe next to the bunion was also fixed. It is almost 6 weeks since June 9 (surgery) and he said throw away the boot and start walking in a running shoe. 2 miles a day for 2 weeks, then increase 1 mile every 2 weeks (so this week and next , week 6 and 7, are 2 miles. ... Rip: my bunionectomy was May 17--I am just over 9 weeks post-op. I am off crutches for over 2 weeks but still walking with a bit of a limp. I am doing ROM with my big toe and stretches with my smaller toes as well as ankle circles. I will not even attempt to run until I can walk very comfortably but biking is helping.
