... I completely agree with you. I am 10 days post-op double bunionectomy (surgery was Aug 22nd) and was back to work a week later (Aug 29th). I was walking by Aug 26th. But I have hard casts that they padded more under the big toe joint so I don't have any choice but to walk on my heels and outsides of my feet. ... Hi there - So I have had a similar experience as you. I had a bunion removed and big toe straightened with 2 screws, plus a tailors bunion fixed and 3 hammertoes. In other words, all 5 toes were worked on (only 1 foot though). I stopped my pain pills on day 3, and took Alleve very sporadically. I was home for 2 weeks with my foot elevated and iced tons before I went... (2 replies)
... when you shower, cover your cast in plastic and tape the edges so no water drips down. If water gets into your cast before the cuts have healed, it could cause problems and you should see a doctor. ... (15 replies)
