... My daughter and I live in the western part of Mass (Mohawk Trail Area) her Dr is an Orthopedic Surgeon. I kind of looked like he had taken all of it off when she first was able to look at it, but within a short amount of time you could see it was coming back. ... Yep - I had C-sections with both of my kids  and have had 3 foot surgeries now - 2 bunion surgeries in college (20+ years ago), and now, more recently, a mid-foot fusion (Lapidus procedure, 2 screws) - to correct splayed 1st metatarsal, along with Wiel osteotomy on 2nd metatarsal (another screw), and bunion shaved, as well as additional (4th) screw placed at base of... ... Debbie, Six months ago I had surgery on the MPJ where they cleaned out the joint, straightened the large toe and shaped the area where bunions usually exist, (I had no pain there but the doc felt it needed shaved). In addition to a screw in the large toe, a pin was put in, somewhat in the shape of a golf club or a wig pin in the shape of an L instead of a T. This pin was... (85 replies)
