... yep, and I think it depends on what TYPE of bunion surgery as to the recovery. I had the austin bunionectomy in which they did not do the big toe, only the first metatarsel (sp?). I have two screws with that surgery, but that varies based on the doctors preference and some use removeable pins. (15 replies)

... rays and saw that my sesamoids were not damaged. I would guess that walking on a foot distorted by bunions puts pressure on the sesamoids. Feet are so tricky. I never realized, until now of course, how important comfortable feet are to one's general well being. ... (82 replies)
