... I can only speak to my experience. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks post op double bunionectomy for me. I had 1st metatarsal osteotomy with 2 screws each. I can say that at one week I wouldn't base too much on the appearance of your feet. My feet looked like a train wreck and that I still had bunions. To this day my toes still angle towards the seconds toes a little, but I can tell... (4 replies)

... at my foot was pretty even with bunions. I guess its a matter of opinion. My point is, now that I have "come out" with it, I haven't had any bad reactions about bunions being gross. You might as well tell the truth even though it will be difficult at first. ... (6 replies)

People will find out you were not completely truthful, and I think the result will be much more uncomfortable than telling people you had bunion surgery.
