... uhoh.. tell him to see an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis.. a lot of times arthritis changes in the ankle and heel can feel like burning when it starts.. i had a similar situation.. ... (3 replies)

... t plantar faciitis which causes nerve pain in my heels, arch and under my feet. I wear custom orthotics to help with this, it supports the foot. ... until it casuses sever enough pain you dont have to do anythihg,but usually with in a year or two the oain becomes severe ans it is hard to wqalk, so the patient ends up getting a subtalar fusion,, which fuses together two bones, and it lilimits your ability to play sports somewhat.. no more running basically.. ... I'm definitely not a doctor, but that sounds like plantar fasciitis. I had that a few years back, and got over it by doing a lot of stretching.(standing on a stair and lifting myself with my feet). Mornings were the worst for me. You can also get night braces and socks to hold them in position at night. (2 replies)
