... I had the sesamoid bones removed from both feet about 9 years ago. When I had the procedure, I also had the nerves cut. I lived with the injury for 5 years before I finally decided to have it done. I am now 26 and have no ill effects apart from some tingling/burning/numbness along the scar. The surgery is not that bad, and the recovery is also minimal. I would do it again... (5 replies)

After I had the 1st "set" of neuromas removed, the intense burning in the balls of my feet ceased so I think he got that one right! ... I am not sure how helpful this will be but I have been trying to find an answer for the pain in my feet since 2004. The problem is that there seem to be several issues with my feet and many different things that can cause the same pain so diagnosis is really difficult.
