Ankle buzzing
Feb 27, 2012
... For approx. twenty years, I have had buzzing sensations in various place in my foot (not so much the ankle, but I can relate to buzzing sensations in the feet). In my case they thought it was either from a nerve in my leg or due to disc compression in my back. Sometimes I could get it to stop when I did various stretches - but then again - it could make it slightly worse -... (2 replies)
... i've heard that hurts worse than the foot part. ... (98 replies)
... I went to an osteopath and she cracked, pulled and massaged my body. I thought the tingling would stop. I was wrong. Now as I type this my left foot is vibrating. It is VERY annoying and I cant stop it. I so find though if I elevate my foot the buzzing somewhat subsides. ... (0 replies)

... be super sensitive. If I step on a tiny little speck of something it feels huge. My two little to toes feel like there is tape on them. And I have also felt a buzzing in the bottom of the foot. Felt like I was stepping on vibrator or a buzzing bug. Very strange. ... (3 replies)
... olutely no pain at all. I'm still hobbling slightly but I think that's just a confidence thing. If I walk around the house my gait is normal. The tingling and buzzing has gone and I've had absolutely none of the electric shocks that the doc said many people have. I'm starting to think I did the right thing by my foot at last! ... ... ing up. The lump is probably still some swelling. It's hard to descibe how they told me to dissipate it but basically you stand up with your weight on the good foot and slowly shift to weight being equally distributed on both feet...then walk normally. You have to really think about it to get it right! At least I did. ... (13 replies)
... ng seems to be going fine. I don't have any nerve pain or shooting electrical pains that apparently a lot of people experience. I do have a lump underneath my foot which the doc said was to be expected. Did either of you have this and how long did it last? ... (13 replies)
... Glad it's doing better. And Yes, I was told to walk fully on the foot from day one. In fact, they showed me before I left the hospital how to do it so as to dissipate the swelling that would occur. ... (13 replies)
... Just an update on my foot... I'm now 2 weeks post op and there has been a dramatic recovery. The buzzing is virtually gone and I am able to put all my weight on my right foot. ... (13 replies)
... I guess I'll just focus on the positives for now. I'm able to put quite a bit of weight on the ball of my foot already and the buzzing/electricity doesn't keep me awake at night for now! I'm also wearing the orthotic shoe (beautiful) and will go in search of some health shoes when the time comes. Don't know what Merrils are. I'm in Australia so perhaps we don't have them. ... ... I wish I could address that issue but I did not feel any such "buzzing" that I recall. At rest, I don't recall anything other than the swelling feeling. Hope you get some resolution on it. (13 replies)
... Thanks Titchou. I believe the chance of successful surgery is much higher than unsuccessful surgery but I guess the successful cases don't need to talk to anyone online so these boards are loaded with negative experiences! During the first few weeks, what sort of sensations did you experience in your foot? The swelling and general pain is healing very nicely in my foot. ... (13 replies)
... I'm new to this foot board but am a long term member of another board and found it so helpful. 10 days ago I had a 15mm diameter neuroma removed from my right foot which had been bothering me for over 3 years. ... (13 replies)
... compression. Might be in your foot somewhere or even in your spine. ... (3 replies)
... refused as it was "too close" to my screws yet they did a head MRI and said it was not a problem as my foot was far enough away from the magnetic field. ... (7 replies)

... Hi, I had that for years in the mid 90's - and I sometimes have it now. I went through NUMEROUS neurological tests etc to no avail. For my situation, I have always thought it was related to the neuromas in my feet. (But if you find that's it I can tell you for me - I wish I had never had neuroma foot surgery - as I'm much worse now than before). I also wondered if some... (1 replies)
