... I would echo what Titchou said about getting an opinion from a sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon. I had a serious case of Hallux Rigidus and had a cheilextomy in 2006. That toe has done very, very well ever since. ... (11 replies)

The exercises mentioned earlier are essential, but the MOST important treatment is supporting the arch. Falling arches are the cause of your problems, be it from age, overuse, or trauma. ...
