... I will be starting nursing (probably in the fall) and will be taking some other courses over the summer to help prepare more. Does anyone have any advice or good tips that will help me to be more prepared when I actually start? I know my Math is a little rusty,( but I can practice with that beforehand and take a refresher course also). Any suggestions?:) Thanks a bunch!! (4 replies)

Working in the medical field for well over 35 years-I can tell you that nursing has many different areas-Not all are direct patient care-A lot of the RN positions are desk jobs now days-That said, you also have to know how to do everything-otherwise you can't supervise-If you don't know how to properly do something you won't know if those you supervise are doing it correctly.... ... s. She said people tend to come together more when the classes get tough. They help each other out. You've already got more going for you than a lot of people starting a nursing program. You have some college under you belt already so you know how to study, take good notes, etc. You've probably got a good grasp on math. ... (2 replies)
