... Hello, I have never had any hearing problems until this week, when while listening to music I noticed a strange ticking sound/sensation in my right ear. It is definitely proportional to the amount of noise and at a moderate volume becomes more like static. I can reproduce the same thing by holding a telephone with a dial tone up to the ear. ... Mark, go to an ear specialist, a step beyond the ent, an nerutotologist and she what s/he says. There are a lot of possibilities with this. Maybe it is what the ent said but there are other possibilities too. For tinnitus alone, diet can play a part, watch the salt, caffeine, asperin etc. but see a specialist. (10 replies)
